Senior Pastor & Servant Leader
Pastor Cunningham is, above all, a devoted servant of Jesus Christ. He recognized and acknowledged his divine calling as a Preacher of the Gospel back in 2004. This significant moment in his spiritual journey was followed by his licensure and ordination under the respected leadership of Reverend Dr. TC Chappell, the Pastor of New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL, as well as Reverend Herman Maxwell Jr., the Pastor of Lees Chapel Baptist Church in Brookside, AL. To enrich his knowledge and skills, he pursued further education at esteemed institutions, including the Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College, the University of Alabama Birmingham, Faith Christian College/WOE Foundation, the Academy for Public Theology, and the Congress of Christian Education at Mt. Pilgrim District Association. Additionally, he engaged in continuing education through programs offered by PFS Business and Licensing Success Systems, the Alabama Fire College, and Shelton State Community College. Throughout his journey, he has earned numerous certifications from government agencies in areas such as Leadership, Personal Development, and Management, demonstrating his commitment to continuous personal growth.
Beyond his role as a pastor, Pastor Cunningham has been actively involved in various professional and community associations. He has taken on the mantle of a Business Entrepreneur Advocate, focusing on financially educating individuals and families alike. In pursuit of this mission, he became independently licensed as a Financial Services Representative, eventually rising to the position of Chief Executive Officer of MTM Global LLC. This leadership role empowers him to not only educate others about financial matters, but also to provide quality services and resources to people from all walks of life—an endeavor he continues with unrelenting passion. His dedication to community service has seen him in numerous roles within the Civil Services Profession, including serving as a Firefighter, Lieutenant, Station Commander, Employee Representative, and Chaplain. His commitment to uplifting the community is evident in his tenure as Chairman of the Board and Director for the Birmingham Jefferson Transit Authority, where he advocates for accessible and quality transportation services for everyone throughout the Alabama region. Furthermore, he proudly affiliates himself with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., serving in various roles throughout his membership and maintaining an active involvement as a brother in this esteemed fraternity.
Pastor Cunningham's lifelong passion for Spiritual Leadership has led him to serve the church in multiple capacities, including as a choir member, usher, Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Director of Athletics Ministry, Ordained Deacon, Chaplain, Interim Pastor, and Pastor. His greatest pastoral passion.
